I’m a technology-loving nerd.  My preference for particular disciplines has repeatedly changed over the years.  I’ve done robotics research at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), developed biomedical virtual reality environments and human machine interfaces at the University of Southern California (USC), and did neuroscience and engineering work at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech).  And now, at Osha Liang LLP, I get a chance to do a little bit of all of this.

Whenever I get tired of work, I distract myself with various outdoor activities, including surfing, skiing, mountain biking and climbing.  Los Angeles is my playground that allows me to do all of these things, sometimes in a single day.  At least once a year, I try to leave everything behind to take on a bigger challenge.  That’s what re-energizes me.  More recently my passion for mountaineering took me to Europe, Alaska and South America.  So, this year it’s Everest…
